O mnie: Nazywam się Kazimierz Klicki. Jestem malarzem i muzykiem. Jestem osobą w sile wieku i mam za sobą ponad pół wieku doświadczenia artystycznego — najpierw muzycznego /bębny etniczne/, a od kilkunastu lat coraz pełniej i intensywnie wyrażanego również w malarstwie. Maluję podobnie, jak gram na bębnie: gestem, intuicją i w stanie skupienia bliskim medytacji. Stan „tu i teraz”, który znam z improwizacji muzycznej, jest dla mnie tym samym stanem, w którym powstaje obraz. Farba, płótno, ruch pędzla, kolor i pauza mają swoją dynamikę — tak jak fraza, puls i cisza w muzyce. Tworzę przede wszystkim obrazy olejne i akrylowe na płótnie. Interesuje mnie nie tyle odtwarzanie rzeczywistości, ile budowanie własnej przestrzeni malarskiej — miejsca spotkania pamięci, natury, emocji i formy. Przez wiele lat nie zabiegałem o sprzedaż swoich obrazów. Zależało mi przede wszystkim na zachowaniu wolności i niezależności twórczej — na tym, by malarstwo rozwijało się własnym rytmem, bez pośpiechu i bez podporządkowania rynkowi. Dopiero teraz czuję, że nadszedł właściwy moment, by otworzyć drzwi swojej pracowni i pokazać te obrazy szerzej. Nie jako efekt kalkulacji, lecz jako rezultat dojrzałej, uczciwej drogi artystycznej. Malarstwo współczesne ma dziś wiele stylistyk, kierunków i języków, jednak w swojej pracy nie staram się podążać za modą czy obowiązującymi trendami. Ważniejsza jest dla mnie uczciwość wobec własnego doświadczenia, rytmu i sposobu widzenia. Ważne miejsce w mojej drodze zajmują spotkania z ludźmi, którzy pomogli mi świadomiej zobaczyć kierunek własnej pracy. Przełomowe znaczenie miały dla mnie indywidualne zajęcia z rysunku i malarstwa u Krzysztofa Klępki, a także spotkania z profesorem Arturem Winiarskim i profesor Elżbietą Banecką podczas zajęć Akademii Otwartej ASP w Warszawie. Były to doświadczenia, które pomogły mi pogłębić własny język malarski. Bardzo ważnym źródłem inspiracji stało się dla mnie zamieszkanie w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie Narwi. Codzienny kontakt z rzeką, przestrzenią, światłem i rytmem natury otworzył nowe horyzonty i silnie wpłynął na moją twórczość. W szczególny sposób widać to w cyklu WĘDROWCY — serii obrazów, w których człowiek, znak, pejzaż wewnętrzny i ruch spotykają się w jednym miejscu. Kazimierz Klicki – Artist Statement I am a painter and a musician, navigating the space between rhythm and silence. My art is a process that has matured in quietude over many years. Although my technical foundations were laid at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, I spent decades consciously avoiding the commercial market, allowing myself the absolute freedom to create in harmony with my intuition. In my creative process, I combine the analytical perspective of a psychologist with the sense of rhythm derived from ethnic drums. Whether it is a jam session or the act of painting, it is a journey to the "here and now." Every brushstroke is an expression of my inner needs—a conscious release of feelings and questions from the subconscious. The unpainted areas and the background represent the necessary "silence" that allows the main motifs to resonate fully. For me, the state of painting is a form of trance, more significant than the final result or a pre-planned outcome. While there is always an initial idea and preparation, the most important part is the dialogue with the brush and canvas—an encounter with oneself. I am delighted when my work evokes curiosity and interest, yet just as painting is my internal experience, the impressions of the viewers are their own internal affair. Art offers the joy of meeting oneself, others, and the World. My painting is directed towards those seeking original, expressive, and distinct art. I am not interested in mass decorativeness; I am interested in a painting that builds a relationship with the viewer, stays in memory, and reveals further layers of meaning over time. WĘDROWCY (THE WANDERERS) – English Summary** The "Wanderers" series is a profound exploration of the human journey, captured through the lens of contemporary expressionism. Inspired by the dynamic energy of the Narew river valley, these works represent a dialogue between movement and stillness, gesture and intuition. In this cycle, the figure of the "Wanderer" becomes a universal symbol of seeking, encountering, and experiencing the "here and now." Each painting is a record of a creative trance—where the rhythm of the brush mimics the pulse of ethnic drums, and the background provides a necessary silence for the main motifs to resonate.
